Pellet Mill and High Speed Mixer set new standards
The Buhler hygienizing and pelleting system AHHD delivers a new standard in the field of feed milling. The Pellet Mill produces high quality and safe feed pellets. The modular design can be adapted to your specific needs and has a capacity up to 30 t/hr. The advanced drive system reduces operating costs by up to 50% compared to gearbox-driven systems.
The Speed Mixer delivers precise mixes in half the time. The revised geometry of the mixer trough and the matching geometry of the flights cut the mixing time down to 1.5 minutes. Instead of 10 mixing cycles as up to now, the mixer achieves 20 mixing cycles per hour. A high homogeneity of the mixer product is obtained in compliance with the highest quality standards: with a mixing ratio of 1 to 100,000, the variation coefficient (CV) achieved is ≤5%. With fewer paddles and large double outlet doors, the Speed Mixer is easy to clean.
Hammer Mill for efficient size reduction
The Hammer Mill is applied when efficient size reduction is in demand. The inlet gate feeds the material into the path of the hammers, a series of bars attached to a horizontal shaft that rotates at high speed. The design and placement of the hammers and the optimum velocity of the hammer bars ensures maximum contact with the material for efficient size reduction. The innovative AHZC Hammer Mill saves energy and enables a constant product throughput. It is easy to care for and clean. The screens can be easily exchanged. The doors of the machine can be quickly unhinged, and the patented hammer bar locking mechanism enables fast and easy access to the hammers.
The AHZC Hammer Mill operates as a fine grinding mill in the pet food and aqua feed production installations for a particle size up to 10 mm edge length. The material bulk density must be 0.2 to 0.8 kg/dm3 and the moisture content up to 15%. The hammer mill operates as a normal grinding mill in the formulated feed manufacturing industry, as well as in flour mills, for a particle size up to 60 mm in edge length. COMPACtwin Extruder – powerful, fast, and flexible
High torques, screw speeds and pressures are essential in any state-of-the-art twin-screw extruder for covering a wide range of specific applications. The processing section is built from basic modules up to 150 bar and made of corrosion-proof and abrasion-resistant materials. The basic modules in various versions enable an almost unlimited number of combinations and lengths. With an approved screw handling system, the screw shafts can be extracted at the front end. Even badly jammed screws can be easily and quickly removed. The Buhler cutter offers easy operation, high sanitation and perfect cutting action without deforming the product. The cutting knives can be readjusted during production and the knife head can be exchanged without interrupting production.
Efficient, sanitary and uniform drying and cooling
Multi-pass conveyor driers provide efficient, sanitary drying of pet food and aqua feed. The small footprint of multi-pass driers maximizes the processor’s floor space. The dual plenum airflow distribution and temperature profiling are unmatched for best moisture uniformity in the industry. The better the uniformity, the closer the drier can be operated to the target moisture content of the product.
Internal ledges of the drying system are reduced, all seams are full welded, and the drier is enclosed with full perimeter doors that allow complete interior access for cleaning. These features greatly reduce product clean out time between runs, allowing for quick product changes without cross contamination. Improved fines management allows the drier more run-time while producing safe feed. Innovations in sealing the drier, superior airflow distribution, improved burner operation and a unique zone controls scheme allows precise drying with high efficiency.
