Chinese fish company Yuanchzhen has announced its intention to build a fishmeal production plant in the Sakhalin Oblast region, a set of islands off the Eastern coast of Russia.
The new plant will be located in Korsakovsky, the top fishing port in the region, where 43,000 tonnes of fish were landed last year. All production is expected to be exported.
