Cyanotech Corporation of Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i, announced today the appointment of David P. Mastroianni as Senior Advisor to the Company. Mastroianni has over 20 years experience in the natural products industry, including executive positions at Solgar Vitamins, now a division of pharmaceutical giant Wyeth, and Weider Nutrition International. Most recently, Mastroianni was President of Royal Numico's direct selling division, Unicity Network.

Mastroianni will assist Cyanotech's management team in establishing short- and long-term strategic initiatives, developing new business opportunities and improving the operational functions of the company, according to Dr. Gerald R. Cysewski, Chairman, President and CEO of Cyanotech.
