Icelandic fishmeal producer, Síldarvinnslan, will expand its fishmeal factory in Neskaupstaður from 1,400 tons to 2,380 tons and will increase its efficiency.
This $35 million expansion will allow the company, the largest in the fishing and processing of pelagic fish and the largest producer of fishmeal and fish oil in Iceland, to process large loads in an acceptable time and in an energy-efficient process.
