Jefo Nutrition announced the creation of its Innovation Department, a new initiative aligned with the company’s mission to envision, develop and share the next era of precision intestinal nutrition for healthier animals and more profitable farms. As part of the recent transformation of its product team, this initiative marks a strategic step in reinforcing Jefo’s organizational structure and accelerating the development of practical solutions that meet real-world challenges. By working hand-in-hand with feed manufacturers, premixers, and a strong network of partners, Jefo aims to help producers achieve a sustainable balance between economic performance, animal health, and environmental responsibility.

Emilie Fontaine, Vice President, Brand and Products, said: “Innovation has long been a core value at Jefo, and the company is now leveraging this strength through its new department to drive global growth. By consolidating our innovation capabilities, we reaffirm our commitment to shaping the next era of precision nutrition for livestock and contributing to a more sustainable, competitive, and future-oriented agri-food sector.”

Already recognized as a pioneer since the launch of its patented microencapsulation technology, the Jefo Matrix Technology, Jefo has set a major milestone in the agri-food industry. This breakthrough innovation ensures the targeted release of active ingredients directly in the intestine for optimal absorption, enhancing animal health, feed efficiency, and sustainability through additional tools that naturally help control gut flora and fight pathogens.

The department is led by Mariza Gattuso, renowned for her expertise in innovation management and strategic development in Quebec, France, and internationally. Her experience in the meat processing industry is a major asset for Jefo, whose commercial approach had primarily been focused on millers and distributors. Gattuso benefits from the support of Caroline Trudel, who brings over 16 years of experience within Jefo. Together, they combine complementary expertise that embodies both renewal and continuity. The growing team continues to attract new talent to support the company’s global ambition of being the benchmark in precision intestinal nutrition.

Mariza Gattuso, Director of Innovation, stated: “I am thrilled to join this flagship company from Quebec to lead the development of our innovation ecosystem. Our mission is ambitious yet crystal clear: to optimize our processes, innovate with purpose and discipline, and deliver high-value solutions. For our clients, this means gaining access to concrete, tailored answers that transform their daily operations and, ultimately, bring to life our promise: Life, made easier.”
