BIO3 strengthens its leadership team with the appointment of Kjartan Kramer as chief executive officer.
Kramer brings extensive experience in industrial development and innovation. Most recently, he worked at Nutrimar and has a strong background in the feed sector, including many years at EWOS/Cargill, with particular expertise in developing new value chains and scaling up industrial operations.
BIO3 is developing and preparing to commercialize a PEKILO®-based protein ingredient – a fermented single-cell protein produced from industrial sidestreams – for use in fish feed. As demand for new feed ingredients continues to grow and the need to strengthen Norway's resource base and reduce emissions becomes increasingly important, the company is entering a crucial growth phase.
“Kjartan brings the right combination of industrial experience, strategic insight, and a strong commitment to forward-thinking solutions. With him on board, we are well positioned to begin construction of our first facility,” said Sigmund Røeggen, chair of the Board at BIO3.
“I’m truly looking forward to this role,” said Kjartan Kramer. “BIO3 is in an exciting phase where technology and industry are coming together in new ways. Contributing to the development of a new Norwegian value chain for protein production is both meaningful and purposeful.”
