Aero-Feeder, from AquaInnovate, is a new aeration system and food provision mechanism for shrimp and other aquatic species in semi intensive and extensive farming systems.

This affordable device, which solves the problems of inadequate water oxygenation and poor food distribution, is particularly suitable for small intensive farms with low incomes. It can be easily transported from one pond to another by one person.

Aero-Feeder is a 1.5 metre x 1 metre floating device that is propelled by a person pedalling a bicycle-like contraption mounted on it. The pedalling action both moves paddles to aerate the water and distributes feed from a hopper through a rotary disc system. A small engine can also be mounted to assist propulsion.
