Format Solutions, the company formed by the merger of Cargill, Feed Management Systems and Format International, has released new versions of two of its software product lines.

The new version of Indigo™, Format Solutions’ innovative formulation and resource allocation tool, contains a range of enhancements designed to provide its users with features to manage day-to-day challenges and unique views on their data.

• Non-Linear Optimisation – apply constraints within your optimisation to reflect non-linear interactions. A flexible tool that can be applied to multiple constraints with user-defined relationships.
Can be used in conjunction with the integer optimisation to take account of, for example, constraints on weighing accuracy in the manufacturing process.
• Exceptions reporting – quickly discover and validate local exceptions to standard settings.
• Dynamic CSV import and export – easily create your own interfaces with CSV files; automatic or manual field mapping is supported. Store settings for convenient re-use.
• Categorize data for easy filtering – design your own categorization scheme for different data types. Indigo’s powerful filtering capabilities exploit this so you can quickly find the data you need.
• Categorize, validate and mark formulas as production ready – apply customised categories to inform downstream processes of the reasons behind a formula’s creation. Validate and mark as production ready with status and version settings.

In addition, maintenance releases of Feed Mill Manager v12 and v14 have been made available as part of its continual improvement program and to keep pace with changes in underlying technologies. Feed Mill Manager is an operations software that integrates with a range of ERP and MRP solutions to fill the gap between formulation, milling and operations, providing greater insight and control of cost in feed manufacturing operations.
