It brought together academics and industrial experts mostly from China and Taiwan as well as Chinese experts working in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. Over 1,500 aquaculture researchers, scientists, and industry people attended the conference.

The symposium discussed some of the aqua industry’s hot topics, including nutrient requirements & ingredient utilization; nutritional physiology & animal health; food safety & animal quality control; feed quality control & processing, and feeding physiology & technology.

Allen Wu, Reg Mgr Aqua – APAC, spoke in the Aquafeed and Application session, chaired by Professor Liu of the National Taiwan Ocean University and Professor Yep, of the SooChow University in Suzhou, China.

Allen Wu presented on Nutriad’s Quorum Sensing Technology, a novel application in functional shrimp feeds for EMS strategy.

“As I work with customers throughout Asia, I know that this topic draws a lot of attention from feedmills, shrimp hatcheries and farmers. The Chinese delegates showed strong interest in our proven technology and field experience in other countries,” he said.
