US Menhaden producer Daybrook Fisheries has just signed a deal with the South African Oceana Group, which is buying 100% of the company.

Daybrook sold more than 77,000 MT of fishmeal and fish oil last year and will be a valuable acquisition for Oceana, in its bid to gain a more global reach.

There is growing demand on the African continent for fishmeal and fish oil to support its burgeoning aquaculture industry, which is currently the second fastest growing the in the world.
