Vietnam Food (VNF) and Prairie AquaTech signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop new protein sources embracing a unique model towards the sustainable growth of the aquaculture feed and food production industries.
“VNF’s shrimp-based functional peptides (SPH) are a revolutionary, protein solution. VNF’s shrimp peptides boost efficient protein digestion, reduces adverse health effects from stress and offer water-soluble palatability and attractability for aquaculture and livestock - ultimately improving FCR and animal health,” said Loc Phan, president of VNF.
Prairie AquaTech’s ME-PRO® (microbial enhanced protein) is a unique plant-based protein made from traceable, non-GMO American soybean meal. With guaranteed 70% protein content (as fed), ME-PRO® offers better nutrition and greater flexibility, thereby bringing valuable power back to the feed industry.
“We believe that the strategic collaboration with VNF is essential for accelerating the sustainable development of aquaculture feeds,” said Mark Luecke, CEO, Prairie Aquatech. “Our partnership with VNF will enable both companies to test new technologies that can improve in a sustainable way global aquaculture production.”
The VNF and Prairie AquaTech relationship goes back to 2019. By blending the advantages of SPH (marine hydrolysate) and ME-PRO® (microbial enhance plant protein), both companies realized that together they can offer a novel and powerful solution for the global feed industry unlike any other option in the market.
