PRO 4000X - A breakthrough in bioremediation in pond based aquaculture systems (PRESS RELEASE)

AquaInTech Inc. sells microbiology based tools for bioremediation and bioaugmentation. Their recently new and improved tablet is a powerful tool to assist you in the process of ensuring that the quality of your environment during production and what you discharge post production are consistent with sustainable practices. The company is also seeking someone to test two new products: oxygen releasing tablets containing their bacterial formulation and also smaller tablets containing an attractant that is intended for direct consumption by the shrimp or fish

There are not any true probiotics commercially available for aquaculture.  There are many claims but the truth is that few, if any, would actually qualify as probiotics.   The agreed upon definition states that organisms in the product must be living and active via the intestinal tract and that they must have a positive impact on animal health (direct or indirect).

Many bacterial preparations are commercially available.  These range from do-it-yourself kits  (a form of roulette) to various formulations containing a plethora of bacteria and yeasts.  These are available in a wide variation of formulations all too often with purported levels that are too high to be true (as if more is better-which is not necessarily so) or to low to be useful.  In many cases the bacteria are dead (many bacteria have short lives outside of their favored culture conditions).  Many products are over priced and often with claims of uniqueness not supported by scientific data, etc.

At AquaInTech Inc. we sell microbiology based tools for bioremediation and bioaugmentation.   Our recently new and improved tablet is a powerful tool to assist you in the process of ensuring that the quality of your environment during production and what you discharge post production are consistent with sustainable practices.  While costs  vary depending on application rates and specific marketing circumstances (direct buyer versus reseller for instance) typically costs in the hatchery are far less than one dollar per day for each 10 MT of water.  On the farm it is highly variable with costs ranging from as low as  $50.00 per ha per cycle to as high as $1000 per ha or more per cycle.   The client determines what application strategy works the best for them.

Our clients have seen many different impacts from the use of the tablets with the most consistent being a visible reduction in organic matter.   We recognize that each and every pond is a different environment in many respects (though there may be less variation between them in some production systems) and urge users of the product to appreciate that they control the use of the tablets and that they should determine what works best.   We supply guidelines for use and the end user should determine how best to make the tablets work in their particular environment.   We know that the bacteria degrade organic matter.   Clients should determine how many tablets to use pre applications and how often to apply them.   From our significant experience with products of this nature we know that carbon can be limiting in some systems and the addition of a carbon source such as molasses or other simple sugars can promote the beneficial effect noted with our bacteria.

We are currently looking for someone to test two new products.  One is oxygen releasing tablets containing our bacterial formulation and the other are smaller tablets containing an attractant that are intended for direct consumption by the shrimp or fish. Many other products are in the pipeline and will be available in the months to come.

We are also selling product in a biodegradable bag that contains nutrients to help the bacteria grow and promotes a large early spurt in growth post incubation.   Each bag contains around one trillion spores.  The product is named AQUAPRO-EZ and more information, along with more on PRO4000X is available on our bioremediation web site.

Distributor inquiries welcome.

Product Information:

-Tablets for target delivery to pond bottoms where the sludge accumulates.

-Each tablet contains a minimum of 64 billion CFU*.

-Each tablet contains a consortium of Bacillus species that have been selected based on their enzyme profiles and ability to degrade organic matter and detoxify ammonia.

-No activation required.  Just add the tablets to the tank or where you want in the pond.   Visibly affected spots make for an excellent demonstration of the effectiveness of PRO 4000X.

-These bacteria were the subject of the first patent for the use of bacteria in aquaculture.   Please ask if you want the number.

-Satisfied clients in Belize, Venezuela, Indonesia, India, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Malaysia and elsewhere.

-Works in the hatchery by competing against potentially harmful vibrios and other heterotrophic species

-Works in the farm by degrading organic matter and competing against existing microflora.

-A field proven cost effective tool for improving water quality.
