Scoular, which has recently accomplished a new fishmeal facility, an expansion in the APAC region, and a new sustainability program, announced the appointments of four new vice presidents.
Focused on solutions for renewable energy producers, farmers, grain processors, animal feed and aquafeed manufacturers, the company’s new vice presidents are leaders in these fields.
Bill Davis, Vice President, General Manager, Renewable Energy
Davis has spent his career growing and developing new businesses and, as Scoular’s leader of renewable energy, brings energy and agriculture together. He helped launch the renewable fuels business at Conagra and served as Senior Director of Renewable Trading at Tenaska. He came to Scoular in 2019 to help the company navigate new renewable energy mandates as well as voluntary programs.
Chad Gauger, Vice President, General Manager, High Nutritional Value Proteins
Gauger brings over twenty-five years of experience to Scoular, who leads the high nutritional value proteins business in the fast-growing, international marine, animal, and plant-based proteins markets. He joined Scoular in 2021 and previously held key roles at Cargill such as Managing Director of Aquaculture Nutrition and Global Risk Management Director for Animal Nutrition. At Cargill, Gauger built diverse teams in many geographies; he has worked in Singapore, Indonesia, Norway, and Thailand.
Sandra Hulm, Vice President, General Manager, Pulses, Seeds, Sunflower, and Bird Food
For over twenty-five years, Hulm has been successfully leading and motivating teams in global supply chain operations, procurement, and commodity risk management. Before coming to Scoular in August, Hulm was Vice President of Procurement at Conagra Brands. Before Conagra, she held various roles at ADM, including managing its North America sunflower oil program. Hulm also was a board member at Ardent Mills during her time at Conagra.
Joe Thompson, Vice President, Senior Associate General Counsel
Thompson has played a key role in Scoular’s strategic acquisitions and expansions since joining the company in 2018. He oversees international commercial transactions as well as transactions for Petsource, a rapidly expanding wholly-owned subsidiary of Scoular. Thompson also is an assistant corporate secretary for Scoular’s Board of Directors. Before joining Scoular, Thompson was a partner at various law firms.
“Bill, Chad, Sandra, and Joe will help lead the way as Scoular expands and invests in new businesses, geographies, and innovation,” said Paul Maass, CEO of Scoular. “I’m grateful to work with such exceptional individuals who offer unmatched expertise in their fields and leadership across Scoular during this exciting time at our company.”
