AgriProtein, part of the Insect Technology Group, opened its state-of-the art R&D center and global project management office in Singapore. With the support of the Singapore Economic Development Board and with over 18 colleagues already in Singapore, this new hub underlines the company’s commitment to R&D and the Asia Pacific region.

The new facility will lead the research into anti-microbial peptides, chitin and chitin derived products, as well as serving as the company’s global analytical chemistry reference lab. The Singapore team will also conduct larvae feed trials using local organic waste streams available in the Asia region.

The Singapore office also includes our global project management office, operating team and regional business development hub to tap into the Singapore strategic opportunities.

“We are very excited about the opportunities for our business in Asia and creating a global hub in Singapore will help us drive further expansion in the region, as well as support our business globally,” said Jason Drew, CEO.

The global hub is led by John Diener, COO of AgriProtein, who said that “Singapore offers an excellent combination of deep talent pools in the domains we needed, so it was an easy choice to establish our global hub here. We appreciate the support of the Singapore Economic Development Board in assisting us with opening our site in Science Park II.”
