As they did with Norway, China signed three new trade agreements with Iceland to export Icelandic products to China. The protocols concern the recognition of health standards for aquaculture products, fishmeal, fish oil, wool and yeast.

Ni Yuefeng, the Chinese Minister of Customs, said that the Chinese welcomed Icelandic salmon products and that China would like to be a strong buyer of the products in the future.
