De Heus opened its fourth feed production facility in Indonesia. The feed mill is located on an area of five hectares in PIER Pasuruan, East Java, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 MT. The modern, production facility equipped with European technology, automation and digital systems, allows De Heus to strengthen its market position and help develop sustainable agricultural communities in the region.

De Heus entered the Indonesian market in 2018 through the acquisition of Universal Agri Bisnisindo. In 2020, the company acquired the feed operations of Neovia Indonesia, PT Welgro Feedmill and PT Wirifa Sakti, a period of dynamic development for the company.

“With our presence in Indonesia, we have a responsibility to contribute to the nation. De Heus in Indonesia focuses on developing an agricultural society that focuses on modernization, growth, care and sustainability. This modern factory is one of our contributions, with equipment from Europe, automation and digital systems,” said Kay De Vreese, president director of De Heus Indonesia.

“De Heus is committed to maintaining and strengthening independent and future entrepreneurship in livestock and aquaculture. By sharing knowledge and experience, we support independent breeders, fish and shrimp farmers in Indonesia to advance in professionalization, improvement and profitability,” the company said. Furthermore, De Heus has developed into a partner of local micro, small and medium enterprises throughout the supply chain from upstream to downstream.

At the opening ceremony, De Heus Indonesia also signed a memorandum of understanding with the country’s Ministry of Agriculture to cooperate in the use of corn. De Heus will also work with corn farmers to develop their businesses which include procurement, empowerment and development. De Heus also provided cattle feed assistance to farmers affected by floods in Malang and Blitar.
