Louis Dreyfus Company formed a joint venture project with Donlink Group to construct a Food Industrial Park in the Nansha district in Guangzhou, China. Located near the Port of Nansha, the project will include feed protein processing, high-tech ecological aquaculture, grains trading, food innovation, plant-based clean energy production and other business sectors. The total investment is RMB7 billion, with an expected annual output value of RMB22 billion.

Nansha enjoys unique advantages thanks to the dynamic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Together with the company’s oilseed processing plant in Dongguan, Guangdong, it will form an important industrial base for the company’s strategic presence in the Pearl River Delta and move further downstream to meet consumer needs.

Currently, more than 400 million people in China belong to the middle-income group. With the improvement of people's living standards, consumer demand for high-quality protein is growing rapidly. As a company rooted in China for over 40 years, Louis Dreyfus Company is committed to serve the Chinese consumer’s food basket with a safe, transparent and sustainable food supply chain that is also working towards a safe and sustainable future. The company is present throughout the value chain, operating fixed assets and merchandizing a wide range of commodities throughout China, with the exception of five provinces.
