The EU Association of Specialty Feed Ingredients and their Mixtures (FEFANA) elected Séverine Deschandelliers new FEFANA president for the next 2020-2022 term. She is succeeding Gerritjan van der Ven.

Deschandelliers served as a civil servant in the French government specialized in animal health matters and as managing director of MSD Animal Health in France. She is now global director of Market Access Department in Adisseo.

After actively contributing as a member of the board of directors for the past few years, Deschandelliers takes over the leading position in FEFANA during one of the busiest and exciting periods for the association and the specialty feed ingredients sector as a whole: in the core of the process of the evaluation of the feed additives regulation, the implementation of the transparency regulation, and the recently launched Green Deal and Farm-to-Fork strategy which have recognized the fundamental role of feed additives in the achievement of ambitious sustainability goals.

The board of directors expressed their deep appreciation to the outgoing president for his very successful presidential term of the past four years, accompanying FEFANA through some major steps in the REFIT process, innovative advocacy efforts and in the implementation of the Animal Feed Industry’s 2030 vision.
