BioMar recognized as “Farmer of the year” three Atlantic salmon grow-out farms in the three southern regions: Los Lagos, Aysen, and Magallanes. Aqua Chile reports that two of the winning centers are owned by Australis in Aysen and one by Mowi in Los Lagos.

Mowi Chile farm, the "Rada Achao" located on Chiloé Archipelago, salmon results showed a real biological conversion factor (FCRB) of 1.07. According to Biofarm Manager of Biomar Chile, Eduardo Suazo, the food strategy was based on high energy diets such as CPK Intro, Power Smolt and Power.

Australis farm “Costa” located on Traiguen Island perfomed a FCRB of 1.06 with high energy diets and Australis “Cordova 1” 1.07.
