Recognizing the work and results of its clients, Salmofood highlighted the good performance obtained by Cermaq. In 2020, more than 60% of its farms, fed with Salmofood products, obtained a feed conversion ratio lower than 1.1. The company especially highlighted Aulen Center, which obtained an FCRb of 1.08 and Tránsito Center with an FCRb of 1.09.

“These results show that there is quality work between the Cermaq team and our specialized technical advisory, who strive to obtain these excellent levels of performance supporting the farms at all times and recommending the best nutritional strategy that suits their productive requirements,” said commercial manager of Vitapro Chile, Ernesto Passalacqua.

“To achieve good production rates, feed is crucial, especially functional diets,” said Héctor Herrera, technical assistance manager of Vitapro Chile. “It is essential to have an adequate feeding strategy and know how to implement it in the cycle. For this reason, our technical assistance team is constantly training and available to meet the needs of our customers 24/7.”

Patricio Daza, Cermaq’s production manager, highlighted that these results are mainly due to the teamwork in both centers. “We are proud to have obtained these numbers and we know that all this is aligned with the company’s feed strategy. For this reason, we have felt accompanied by Salmofood, especially for its technical area.”

“The excellent work that these centers represent is what inspires us to continue jointly developing sustainable alternatives that favor the efficiency and reliability of the aquaculture industry. For this reason, we demand ourselves every day to manufacture diets with the best cost-efficiency ratio in the industry,” said Passalacqua.
