Latin American feed group Vitapro, owner of Nicovita and Salmofood, named Fabricio Vargas, currently general manager of Vitapro Ecuador and with more than 16 years of experience in the animal nutrition business, as general manager of Vitapro.

Vargas will replace Hugo Carrillo, who has been at the parent group Alicorp for 29 years and has been in charge of Vitapro for the past seven years.

“My commitment is to continue promoting innovation and sustainability in the industry,” Vargas said. He will continue working on the consolidation of Vitapro.

Vitapro also named Carlos Quispe as country manager of the company in Ecuador. Quispe has also served as a member of various work teams at Vitapro and Alicorp since 2004 and was the director of business in Ecuador.

Vitapro's new leadership is part of the company's succession plan for a generational turnover, which will also guarantee business continuity.
