Vitapro, through its Nicovita brand, has been recognized with first place in the Logistics Excellence category at the ASOLOG 2025 Awards, organized by the Ecuadorian Logistics Association and the National Logistics Cluster.

The company also participated in the Sustainable Logistics category, reaffirming its commitment to efficient, innovative, and responsible management of its supply chain. This recognition is the result of the collaborative work of a team that shares a common vision: to transform logistics into a driver of value, sustainability, and competitiveness.

The awards were held within the framework of the 1st International Logistics & Supply Chain Summit, which highlights projects capable of optimizing processes, reducing costs, and generating positive environmental impacts. "In this scenario, Vitapro solidifies its position as a success story that integrates technology, strategic vision, and environmental responsibility to drive the development of the aquaculture sector," the company stated.

Vitapro presented its Logistics Transformation Project, an initiative designed to support the accelerated growth of the shrimp sector with world-class solutions. The project is structured on three fundamental pillars:

  • High-impact infrastructure: Construction and modernization of silos, tanks, and a new distribution center with automated flows and the capacity to handle large volumes.
  • Total digitalization: Implementation of a warehouse management system (WMS) integrated with SAP, ensuring traceability, automatic inventory control, and real-time visibility.
  • Intelligent automation: Incorporation of technologies such as drones, "Drive In" racks, handhelds, and algorithms that assign tasks based on efficiency and urgency, increasing productivity and reducing errors.

The projected impact of the model includes an installed capacity exceeding 95,000 tons, estimated annual savings of over USD 4 million, and significant improvements in quality, compliance, and service level.

"This recognition reflects the collective effort of a team committed to continuous improvement. It drives us to continue challenging the status quo, with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and operational excellence," highlighted Karla Coronel, corporate supply chain director at Vitapro.
