Center for Aquaculture Technologies Canada first independent research organization to receive license from CFIA-CCVB

The Center for Aquaculture Technologies Canada (CATC) has received a license from the Canadian Center for Veterinary Biologics of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA-CCVB) for its aquaculture research facility located in Souris, Prince Edward Island Canada.

The Center for Aquaculture Technologies Canada (CATC) has received a license from the Canadian Center for Veterinary Biologics of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA-CCVB) for its aquaculture research facility located in Souris, Prince Edward Island Canada.

The facility was found to be in compliance with the Canadian Health of Animals Act and Regulations. This is the first establishment license issued by the CFIA-CCVB to an independent contract research organization for quality control (QC) testing of regulated veterinary biologics and will allow CATC to conduct QC testing of regulated aquaculture vaccines for serial release.
