The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) found a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of methionine from France, Japan and Spain, that are allegedly sold in the United States at less than fair value.

Novus International, Inc. filed antidumping petitions with the U.S. Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission in July 2020 asking the agencies to investigate imports of methionine from Spain, France and Japan consistent with the World Trade Organization Antidumping Agreement.

With the Commission’s affirmative determinations, the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue its investigations of imports of methionine from France, Japan, and Spain, with its preliminary antidumping duty determinations due on or about January 5, 2021.
