Veramaris released the third guideline from its series Optimum Omega Nutrition™ (OON) focused on marine fish. The first guidelines in the series was focused on salmon and the second on shrimp.
The report provides practical guidelines to help farmers of European seabass, gilthead seabream, barramundi or yellowtail set feed specifications for long-chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids with the objective of improving the performance and profitability of their fish farming operations.
Optimum dietary requirements of EPA and DHA omega-3 vary greatly between the different species and life-stages of farmed marine fish, but certified sustainable Veramaris algal oil offers the opportunity to adapt the nutritional quality of the feed, enabling fish to deal with often-challenging commercial farm conditions.
