Meriden Animal Health Limited appoints a new distributor for Orego-Stim® Aqua for use in aquaculture in Vietnam

Meriden Animal Health Limited recently appointed Agro Nutrition International Joint Venture Co., Ltd. (Anco) based in Ho Chi
Minh City, Vietnam as their distributor for Orego-Stim® Aqua for use in aquaculture feeds. Mr Lee Meng Hong, the Project Director will be in charge
of this project and will be technically supported by Meriden’s in-house veterinarians.

Since trials conducted in a basa fish farm in Vinh Long province showed a reduction in mortality rates, Orego-Stim® Aqua will be available for use in
aquaculture in Vietnam.

Anco launched Orego-Stim® Aqua in conjunction with the opening ceremony of their third plant in Vinh Long province, December 15, 2007.

“We are confident that the sales of Orego-Stim® Aqua will be a huge success in the Vietnamese aquaculture market. The use of antibiotics is prohibited for use in fish farming and Orego-Stim® Aqua has been shown to be effective in boosting immunity and enhancing the growth of fish the natural way. As of November 2007, Vietnam has remained the largest supplier of pangasius catfish to the EU. In the first nine months of 2007, exports to the EU amounted to 125,700 MT, valued at US$348.1 million”, said Dr Claire Yew DVM for Meriden Animal Health Limited.
