Biomin warns of extensive mycotoxin contamination threat

Mycotoxin-related threats to livestock production are severe or high in 60% of regions worldwide according to the latest BIOMIN Mycotoxin Survey. Those areas registered three or more major mycotoxins at concentration levels known to cause harm in animals. The survey results provide insights on the incidence of the six major mycotoxins in the agricultural commodities used for feed.
Nutreco and African Century Foods join forces in Zambia

Nutreco and African Century Foods (ACF) have entered into a 75/25 joint venture in Zambia, named Skretting Zambia, for the production, sale and distribution of tilapia feed. The agreement is subject to regulatory approval. The joint venture will construct and operate the first dedicated fish feed plant in Zambia.

GAA signs MoU with Colombian farmers' federation

The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Federación Colombiana De Acuicultores (FEDEACUA) to ensure that Colombian farmers, processors, hatchery operators and feed manufacturers can access the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) third-party certification program to comply with local and international market requirements.
