Canola protein concentrate plant commissioned
Arborfield, Canada-based CanPro Ingredients Ltd has begus commercial production of canola protein concentrate. The plant will process 34,000 metric tonnes of whole seed canola annually, with anticipated production of 14,000 metric tonnes of canola oil, 8,500 metric tonnes of canola protein and 10,880 metric tonnes of canola hulls and syrup.
The process implemented at the plant was developed by MCN BioProducts Inc. of Saskatoon over a decade-long period of laboratory and pilot scale research and development.
