Geelen Counterflow sets up Asia office
On October 1st , Geelen Counterflow opened a service office in Suzhou, China, west of Shanghai, which will provide technical service to all dryer and cooler customers in the Asia-Pacific region. The office is run by Rigo van Heel who has been a service engineer with Geelen Counterflow for four years.

When he was based in the Netherlands he travelled to Asia frequently to commission and service Geelen Counterflow dryers in Japan, China, Thailand,Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Australia. He is therefore familiar with many customers and the equipment which they operate. He is also available to perform energy efficiency measurements on dryers of any brand, in order to establish the payback time for a replacement dryer.

From January 1, Raymond Blom will assume sales responsibility for the Asia Pacific region, based in the head office in the Netherlands.Raymond Blom has worked in sales support for nearly two years before moving into this new position.

He will be travelling around Asia and Australia many times per year. He graduated from HTS Heerlen as a commercial mechanical engineer and as Diplom Ingenieur at the Fachhochschule of Aachen in Germany. His education and training enables him to advise on the suitability of Geelen Counterflow dryers and coolers in existing plants and to correctly size and specify equipment for both new and existing production lines. He can also provide customers with payback time calculations from superior energy efficiency and moisture uniformity.

Geelen Counterflow provides counterflow dryers and coolers to the world’s feed and food processors, enabling them to make big improvements to their energy efficiency, food safety and maintenance costs. The company already has sales and/or service offices for North America in Orlando,FL, USA  (Tom Strong) and for Latin America in Chacabuco, Argentina (Diego Clivio and Pablo Sanucci).
