The Aquaponics Association will host its annual International Aquaponics Conference in Connecticut from September 21-23, 2018. The theme for this year's conference is 'Putting Up Shoots,' and a call for presentations is now open. The purpose of the three-day conference is to advance the practice of aquaponics by connecting growers, researchers and enthusiasts from around the world. The Conference will consist of four learning tracks: Commercial Aquaponics, Community Aquaponics, Aquaponics Research & Food Safety, and Aquaponics in STEM Education.
The NAA has released a call for presentations for the next Algae Production Workshop, to be held this fall in Woodlands, Texas. Specifically, the NAA is seeking presentations covering the topics of 'Commercial Production,' 'New Algae Markets,' 'Supply Channels' and 'Pricing Strategies.'
The 6th Global Feed & Food Congress (GFFC) will take place in Bangkok on March 11-13, 2019. The central theme ‘The future of Feed & Food – are we ready?' links to the global challenge to provide safe, affordable, nutritious and sustainable animal protein sources through innovative solutions. The 6th GFFC will include sessions on the Digital Revolution, Sustainability, Feed & Food Safety, Nutritional Innovation, Global Regulations & Policy, Leadership & Talent, Markets & Trade, and the future of Farming Systems.
Registration is open for the 2018 AFIA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) training. From July 24-26, AFIA will host a Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) Preventive Controls for Animal Food training in Nashville, Tenn. Developed by the FSPCA, the 20-hour course provides the "standardized curriculum," which is recognized by the Food and Drug Administration as adequate for PCQI training.
The 8th Offshore Mariculture Conference will be held in association with the U.S. Soybean Export Council from May 15 - 17, 2018 in Singapore. OMC Asia will provide local attendees with the chance to learn from established operations and allow international experts, equipment suppliers and investors the opportunity to meet the local stakeholders interested in moving to cage quality finfish production.
