Alltech in Haiti
In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti in January 2010, Alltech created the Alltech Haiti Relief Fund with the aim of providing direct assistance to the Haitian people. The project has moved quickly on several fronts. In August 2010, a group from Alltech including president, Dr. Pearse Lyons, visited Haiti to follow up on several initiatives including the Haitian Harmony Project - the renovation of a school and building of a choir and music program; identifying the future home of Alltech Haiti; and working with a coffee co-opto develop Alltech Citadelle Coffee.
