Aviana Africa has announced they will hold a series of mega exhibitions and conferences on aquaculture, poultry, and dairy in Uganda, Nigeria, and Kenya in 2017 and 2018. More than 200 exhibitors will be participating from more than 25 countries, and approximately 10,000 visitors are expected.

The annual three-day short course on “Aquafeed Extrusion Technology” will be held again at FôrTek in Norway from April 25 to 27, 2018.  A program on Food & Feed Drying Technology is also being presented immediately following on April 28 & 29. The extrusion program is relevant to both single- and twin-screw extruder. Sessions cover the design of extrusion processes, and how the formulation affects the extrusion process, with examples demonstrating application of the theory. The drying program is relevant to all types of feed and food product.

At the upcoming Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo in St. Petersburg, Russia, IFFO’s Director General Andrew Mallison will participate in two panel sessions and act as moderator for one of the two plenary sessions. The aim of the forum, taking place September 14-16, is to identify main trends in the development of the modern world fish market, promote the expansion of trade and economic relations and scientific cooperation.

The Animal Microbiome Conference will take place October 30th - 31st in London, UK. The Animal Microbiome Congress is a place for feed and strain manufacturers, nutrition companies, government and regulatory bodies and more to discuss ideas, form collaborations and identify strategies for development.

AFIA together with the Ohio AgriBusiness Association will host a PCQI training session September 26-28, 2017. This course is intended for individuals that are designated as a PCQI for their facility, and satisfactory completion of the course will result in a PCQI training certificate. 

AQUA2018 will take place in Montpellier, France and will comprise a scientific conference, trade show, industry sessions, workshops, student events and receptions. The AQUA events are co-organized by the European Aquaculture Society (EASS) and the World Aquaculture Society (WAS) and are held every 6 years in Europe.

The deadline for abstract submissions for LACQUA 2017 has been extended to October 5th. Abstracts may be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese and English. LACQUA 2017 is the 2017 Annual meeting of the Latin American & Caribbean Chapter of WAS.  The conference will include all major aquatic species cultured in Mexico and the other LACC countries with a special focus on Shrimp, Bagre, Tilapia, Shellfish.

INDO LIVESTOCK 2018, the 13th International Livestock, Feed & Fisheries Industry Show, will take place July 4-6, 2018. The show is being organized by PT Napindo Media Ashatama. MEREBO Messe Marketing will again organize the \"Europe, America & Australia Pavilion\" dedicated to companies, associations, chambers and trade press of these regions.

Speakers for the upcoming 57th IFFO Annual Conference have now been confirmed. They include Andy Bing (Loch Duart), Christian Martin (DSM), John Connelly (National Fisheries Institute USA, Ray Hilborn (University of Washington), Willie Loh (Cargill) and George Chamberlain (GAA). Presentations will focus on the latest market trends, nutrition benefits of animal and aquatic feeds, the use of by-products and much more.

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requires facilities processing any type of animal food (complete feed or ingredients) to comply with new current good manufacturing practices and to implement a written animal food safety plan developed and overseen by a \"preventive controls qualified individual (PCQI).\" In order to assist businesses in meeting the requirements set by the Food and Drug Administration, the Ohio AgriBusiness Association, in collaboration with the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), will offer the FSPCA Preventive Controls for Animal Food Course Sept. 26-28.

IDMA FEED 2018, the Feed Technologies and Sub-Industry Exhibition, will take place July 5-7, 2018 at the Istanbul Expo Center in Turkey. The IDMA FEED Exhibition is intended for stakeholders who manufacture or distribute feed technology, machinery, equipment, services and/or products.

The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) has now opened registration for attendees and exhibitors for its upcoming conference, to be held Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2018, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. IPPE will highlight the latest technology, equipment and services used in the production and processing of meat, poultry and animal feed. It will also feature education programs focused on current industry issues.

Exhibitor registration is now open for the Victam Asia 2018 exhibition, which will take place from March 27 - 29, 2018, at the BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand. The event is dedicated to the animal feed processing, grain processing, ingredients & additives, aquafeed, petfood and biomass pelleting industries within Asia. Aquafeed.com will hold the 11th Aquafeed Horizons Asia conference on March 27, the first day of the exhibition.

The Asian Pacific Aquaculture 2017 conference, held last month in Malaysia, featured 37 sessions on aquaculture, including nutrition and aquafeeds, marine shrimp, tilapia, and freshwater fish culture. The event was attended by approximately 3,000 participants from 46 countries, with 87% coming from Asia.

Registration is now open for the American Feed Industry Association\'s Equipment Manufacturers Conference, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, on Nov. 2-4. Hosted by the AFIA Equipment Manufacturers Committee, this year\'s conference will bring together equipment designers, builders and installers from across the United States who will focus on assessing risk management in the feed industry.  

Aviana Nigeria will host the \"Aviana Nigeria 2018 International Exhibition for Poultry, Dairy & Aquaculture\" at the International Conference Center in Ibadan, Nigeria on April 25-26, 2018. More than 200 exhibitors from over 25 countries are expected to participate in the event.   

The European Aquaculture Society announced two upcoming special workshops related to the EAS thematic group European Percid Fish Culture (EPFC). The workshop \"Reproduction of European Pikeperch,\" taking place September 11-15 in Belgium, will provide hands-on practical training on all relevant aspects in relation to the reproduction of European pikeperch (Sander lucioperca). The EPFC Workshop 2017 will take place on October 17 during the Aquaculture Europe conference in Dubrovnik. The workshop, titled \"New skillsets in Percid Fish Culture,\" will pertain to the latest achievements in skills and competencies required for successful percid fish culture.

Method validation has recently been in the spotlight of regulatory agencies and industry task forces, with new guidelines and regulations from the FDA, EMA, and USP. The two-day workshop \"Validation, Verification and Transfer of Analytical Methods (Understanding and implementing guidelines from FDA/EMA, USP and ICH)\" will give attendees the background to understand the requirements pertaining to method validation, and will focus on strategies and provide tools to implement most critical requirements.

The Asian Pacific Aquaculture 2018 (APA18) conference will take place from April 23-26 at the Taipei International Convention Centre in Taiwan. The theme of the conference will be \"Innovation for aquaculture sustainability and food safety.\"
